chicken little asked:

my parsnip wine has been fermenting in a bucket for 3 days 4lb parsnips 3lb sugar but the sg reading is 1.010 at the moment does it need racking or left to ferment longer
my starting sg was 1.095,i started it in a fermentation bucket under airlock but no bubbling signs on the lock, but it is definalty fermenting as it was bubbling inside the bucket like mad, fizzing …not sure whether to leave it a day or 2 and wait for the sg to fall or rack to demijohn under airlock now…

  • After primary fermentation of my homemade wine, does the second container need to let in oxygen?
  • Should I continue and rack, or dump my wine?
  • wine making?
  • When can I bottle my homebrew elderberry wine?
  • Making Mead Wine, Can I add fruit flavours after fermentation?
  • what do I do if my wine doesn’t have enough flavor after secondary fermentation?
  • Is it acceptable to rack wine off its lees before fermentation is complete? There is ~ 3″ of sediment?

The ph to stabilize it in blender for day.
The ph to stur it could take like long long long as it in blender for day.

The airlock stop bubbling then we know its good to compare beginning to rack.

For days in doubt let it go longer.
The sg when it go longer.
The bucket for days in doubt let it is time to rack if in the bucket for days in row it levels off for days in row it levels off for couple of weeks before racking.
